World Environment Day

by Snugpak May 28, 2015 in Events 0 comments tags: environment, World Environment Day
World Environment Day is an annual celebration which takes place every year on June 5 that was founded in 1972. The initiative was founded and run by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) with the aim is to raise global awareness to take positive environmental action to protect nature and the planet Earth. It’s an awareness day we certainly want to help promote as preserving the great outdoors is something we’re extremely passionate about. And we’re not the only ones. Over the years there has been 1000s of celebrities and organisations have helped promote the cause. We particularly love the UNEP strapline: Seven Billions Dreams. One Planet. Consume Care. This year the campaign focus endorsed by Leonardo Di Caprio is #7billiondreams. They are searching for the Dream Team and are looking for people to state one commitment they are willing to do to make a change. Will you join us in raising awareness and head to social media to pledge your commitment or do it via their website here www.unep.org/wed/wedchallenge/ Tell us what you plan to do via @Snugpak or on Facebook Read more!
